“Beth has a heart for helping others, whether through her nonfiction and fiction writing or in other capacities. It has been my pleasure to read and respond to her work during the past few years of knowing her.” Leanna Ellis, award winning author

"I've known Beth Shriver for over twenty years. During this time, I've been privileged to read her work, and to watch her grow and develop as a writer. She has a fine eye for detail and research. Beth's faith has always been an inspiration to me. I also believe she has a gift for writing with compassion about people in difficult or challenging situations. I'm looking forward to reading her newest fiction novel." ~Shelley Shepard Gray

A different kind of Amish novel with a powerful message of Grace! January 22, 2013 In the second book of the Touch of Grace series by Beth Shriver, Grace Given teaches us all how to deal with situations in life that prove difficult. Whether it's a broken heart, a betrayal from a family member or even being harassed, the grace God provides never comes back empty handed. This was such a different Amish novel to read, in that dealing with the harassment from the English teens was something you often wonder about when the Amish community moves into a new location and can create animosity among the residents that live there especially when the Amish start new business opportunities that create a need for their products and services over the English ones. A well written novel that completely captivated me from start to finish and can't wait to read the next one, Healing Grace which the reader is given a glimpse into at the conclusion of this novel. I have to rate this one a 5 out of 5 stars. The story was a lot different that your typical Amish novels and dealt with a lot of issues facing the world today in our own communities. It just shows how the Amish would likely have handled it with a touch of grace instead of retaliation like most would.

Reviews By M. Fields 'book lover" (NC)      This review is from: Annie's Truth (Touch of Grace, Book 1) (Paperback)  5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful read, June 22, 2012I'm a huge fan of Amish fiction but I have to be honest and say that I have been disappointed with a lot of the new Amish author's books because all the story-lines seemed the same. However, this new Amish Author more than exceeded my expectations. It really held my attention because the story was so different. I really, really enjoyed it.
This is a book that talks about forgiveness. Could you forgive after a rape or the murder of a school house full of children? This book is not only a good story with great characters, Annie's Truth will also have you thinking about all of the people in your life you need to forgive. It's a different take on your everyday Amish love story. It shows what it feels like to find a sense of belonging when you don't know where you come from or who your real parents are. With this book Beth has become one of my new favorite authors and I can't wait to read her next book!

This review is from: Funeral Hopper (Kindle Edition)
Funeral Hopper was simply put amazing. Ms. Shriver combines the sensibilities of Mayberry with the wonder of It's a Wonderful Life, with a bit of Meet Joe Black to keep things interesting. Kate, funeral director extraordinaire and just about everything else, jumps from the screen as a character you can't help but identify with. She is overworked both by her job and her responsibilities to her Grams and the quite frankly the entire town. A stranger shows up at the funeral of Georgia, one of the townspeople. That 'chance' meeting sets off a series of events that forces Kate to examine her life and how she relates to those around her. This is more than a romance. It is the story of one woman's spiritual journey to know not only herself but God. This book opened my eyes to a lot of things in my own life while being truly entertaining. In my estimation this is a book you don't want to miss, and shouldn't. I just wish there were more stars to add to this book's rating.

Peace For Parents of Teens
This is a wonderful devotional book. Lots of good material. Parents will find this to be a great addition to their nightstand reading. --Authors choice reviews, Reviewer Carrie Padgett:
"Put this book on your night stand and read it every evening for a peaceful night's sleep. Beth's book helps parents to forgive themselves and their children for their imperfections and celebrate their place in God's service. It beautifully combines four elements that can heal on even the toughest days of parenting: the reality check of personal experience, enlightening and heartfelt quotations on issues you care about, questions that help you examine your own beliefs and fears, the perfect biblical passages that give the ultimate in wisdom and comfort for the most challenging and important task of our lives.
Four cheers for Beth! My customers have been asking for this book for years!" --Jan Halvorson, writer, reader, parent, and bookseller

Reclaiming Tess-True to real life issues
I love stories that are true to real life issues and Tess and Colt's story is just that. You can relate to what each is going through and cannot help but hope that they heed God's plan for them and choose a life that is not what others believe is right. When you throw in a few extra characters that also could use some second chances you find yourself in one big happy family.

A Case of the Heart (Kindle Edition)
A Case of the Heart is a Romantic-suspense Inspirational. The author does a lovely job of interweaving the romance and suspense with the faith of both these characters. Reading it you have to ask, will God bring these two characters together and keep them safe in the process?
It's a realistic romance. I could believe that these two characters would fall in love. I understood Liz's hesitancy and Alex's determination. Time is given to let the relationship grow and mature in a believable way.
The romance was sweet, the suspense entertaining; and the charming interaction between hero and heroine will keep you reading.

This review is from: Love at First Flight (Paperback)
A family vacation to an exotic location just might equal love and an appreciation of the world, something 18-year-old Neely never expected. Neely, shortly before she's to start college, goes on vacation to Cancun with her parents and older sister Meredith. Neely is the outdoor-loving and outgoing one. Meredith, on the other hand, is more reserved. While on vacation, Neely has a summer romance with a handsome, Hispanic young man This was a vacation that would change her life and affect her outlook. The author really set the stage with a Mexican resort setting. Everything that you would see and do and how things work is described in detail so that you can visually imagine everything taking place. I love first person and overall this one did not disappoint. It is a book intended for an older teen audience with an 18-year-old heroine, but a strong enough story for anyone to read. Love at First Flight is a charming novel of first loves and growing up. The ending is very sweet and made me wonder what will happen next for Neely.

Love is a Rose

Posted April 7, 2012 Great book! (Anonymous) I really enjoyed this book. I loved how the author showed the plight of the homeless and the various reasons for their situation. I liked the main characters and the dilemas they faced. To go with their principles and risk their livelihood or to bow to corporate pressure at the expense of the less fortunate. I wish there were more people like Rose and Jeremy. The world would be a much nicer place.
