Long and Short Reviews; Rating: 4 Books A cop and a social workerâ??itâ??s a match made in heaven, right? Liz and Alex have been working together for some time as the story opens. It's always been very professional but inside they both wonder if there could be more. There's an obvious attraction between them, which was completely charming and for me kept the pages turning. Liz is a devoted social worker. She cares for the kids almost too much as she often puts herself into jeopardy. Luckily she has attractive police officer Alex Demas to bail her out and rescue her like a knight in shining armor. Liz is very sweet and often naïve but determined to make the right decisions in her job for her kids. In regards to Alex, she doubts there will be anything more. Even if something happens she isnâ??t sure sheâ??s ready for it. Alex is good-looking and seems to have a knack of getting Liz out of trouble. He also has a gentle heart and his faith in God is just on the cusp of flowering into something of substanceâ??just like the romance between these two characters. A Case of the Heart is a Romantic-suspense Inspirational. The author does a lovely job of interweaving the romance and suspense with the faith of both these characters. Reading it you have to ask, will God bring these two characters together and keep them safe in the process? Occasionally the emotion in a scene jumps either in action or between characters. The writing itself is satisfactory and overall it is an engaging story with interesting characters. It's a realistic romance. I could believe that these two characters would fall in love. I understood Liz's hesitancy and Alex's determination. Time is given to let the relationship grow and mature in a believable way. The romance was sweet, the suspense entertaining; and the charming interaction between hero and heroine will keep you reading.

Hi Beth, I'm a writer of Christian supernatural fantasy and I'm having a hard time finding a market for my work because of the plethora of Christian romance markets--think Peretti and C.S. Lewis with a touch of rock musicals, that's what I write. Would you like to read a selection from one of my novels, and, if you would, give me some recommendations? Blessings, Dean

Books Books and more Books review- 5 stars out of 5 Liz Adams is a social worker in one of the roughest parts of Denver Colorado. with such a compassion for all of her clients, especially children. It seems lately her cases have taken her into more dangerous situations. It seems that Officer Alex Demas has had to bail her out od several messy situations and now its become to the point that he is there at almost every call she goes on.This last call has really put them together more , through drug deals and childrenâ??s welfare He has always had a interest in her, but she seems to be a very hard person to get close to Holding on to a past relationship that had disasterâ??s consequences, Liz is not about to get close to another man. Alex also has shadows in the closet from a past relationship that he needs to let go of. Where Liz still has her faith in God for all except a relationship, Alex has let his faith waver. Can Liz learn to trust again and find a deep relationship with Alex, and can Alex with the help of Liz restore his faith in God. This was a excellent well written story that brought the characters to life in the minds of the reader. Sometimes the system is not perfect and with the authorâ??s experience as a social worker she was able to relate this in the story. There are parts that are humorous and parts that make you want to shout why. I read this book in one day as it was that good and I couldnâ??t put it down
